The Scoop! @ Willow Oak Farms is a family-owned and operated full-service ice cream shop located on a working farm in Northern Harnett County. The Scoop! was established in 2020 with a vision of providing Agri-tourism and hands-on farm experiences to the community. We officially opened March 12, 2021 for business!
We offer a variety of ice cream flavors as well as hand-spun milkshakes and a host of specialty sundaes! The Scoop! offers lots of popular ice cream flavors and seasonal flavors that are rotated out each season. So come rock on our front porch and take it easy, while enjoying a cone (or cup) full of your favorite ice cream!

The Story Behind the Ice Cream
Just like so many tobacco farmers in these times, we found it increasingly difficult to make a living from just tobacco and small grain production. As a result, we began to explore new ways to supplement our income through diversification and expansion. We knew we wanted to share our love for farming with others; so, the idea of adding Agri-Tourism to our farm seemed an obvious choice!
We made a big decision…
Together, our family now operates The Scoop! @ Willow Oak Farms as part of our farming operation. We are striving to maintain our family farm by diversifying and adding family-friendly experiences on a working farm, to allow us to share our love of what we learned about farming from past generations with future generations.
We converted our barn…
In the Fall of 2020, it was time to make our dream a reality. We already had a perfect building on the farm which would soon be converted into the ice cream shop. Then, we were on our way to transforming a piece of our past into the next phase of farming for our family generations to come.
